At SMART Society, our mission has always been to empower our community through innovative senior care and support for women in recovery. As we look toward the future of caregiving in rural Texas, we must explore how new technology can assist our "Personal Providers" and the seniors they serve. One of the most promising advancements in this field is the Smart Exoskeleton.
Caregiving is a physically demanding profession. Whether it’s assisting a senior with mobility, helping with "tight and tidy" cleaning services, or managing yard brush removal, the physical strain on the body is real. A Smart Exoskeleton—a wearable device that supports the musculoskeletal system—can significantly reduce the risk of injury for our job trainees and recovery residents. By providing motorized assistance to the legs and back, these devices make lifting and movement safer and more sustainable.
